Description
ROMAN EMPIRE - ROMAN Augustus (27 BC – 14 AD). ND denarius (18 BC), Colonia Patricia. Obv. CAESARI – AVGVSTO (senestrorsum). Laureate bust facing right. Rev. MAR – VLT. Hexastyle temple surmounted by a dome, viewed in perspective. An eagle in the centre and two standards between the columns. RIC.105a; Silver – 3.74 g – 16.3 mm – 7 h The flan is slightly irregular but the strike is clear. With a lovely patina. Superb.
