ROMAN EMPIRE - ROMAN Trajan (98–117). Dupondius ND (107), Rome. Obverse: IMP CAES NERVAE TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS V P P. Radiate bust facing right, with a drapery fold over the left shoulder. Rev. S P Q R OPTIMO - PRINCIPI / S - C. Dacian trophy consisting of oval and round shields, helmets, a tunic and cross-held spears. RIC.586; Bronze – 13.93 g – 27 mm – 5 o’clock Slight nick at 9 o’clock. Beautifully struck, with a brilliant green patina. Superb.
