Obv. D N THEODO – SIVS P F AVG. Bust wearing a diadem, draped and clad in armour, facing left.
Rev. GLORIA – ROMANORVM. The emperor, standing facing forwards with a nimbus, head turned to the left, in military dress, holding a globe in his left hand and with his right hand raised. To the left, a star.
RIC.370; Silver – 4.2 g – 21.5 mm – 12 o’clock
Distinctly struck, with the metal barely pinched at 6 o’clock. Fine crack in the die on the reverse. Attractive patina with golden highlights. Superb.
