ANCIENT GREECE - GREEK
Ptolemaic Kingdom, Ptolemy I (305–285 BC). Tetradrachm featuring a helmeted head of ND (306–300 BC), Alexandria.
Obverse. Head of Alexander the Great facing right, wearing the horns of Ammon and an elephant-skin headdress, with the aegis tied around his neck.
Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ. Athena Promachos walking to the right, brandishing a spear and holding a shield; an eagle on a thunderbolt in the foreground; a monogram in the field and, above it, a small Corinthian helmet.

NGC Ch XF 5/5 1/5 damage (2183766-004).
Vigorously and centrally struck. Two scratches on the edge and the cheek retouched on the obverse. Slight grey patina. Superb.
