Beautifully struck on a regular flan. There is minimal wear and a delicate patina covers both sides. A rare legion, difficult to find in this series. Very Good to Superb. Legio XXIV was raised by Mark Antony around 41–40 BC following the Battle of Philippi. Composed of veterans and new recruits drawn mainly from the eastern provinces and Italy, it formed part of the vast army assembled for the campaigns against the Parthians.
