Obverse: IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust, facing right.
Reverse: P M TR P III COS P P. Gordian III on horseback facing left, holding a sceptre and raising his hand.

The strike is slightly off-centre on the obverse. Two small scratches beneath the chin and minute hairline marks on the fields. Slight patina and remnants of the original lustre. Superb, in mint condition.
