Faustina the Elder (138–141). Aureus ND (after 141), Rome.
Obverse: DIVA – FAVSTINA. Draped bust facing right, with hair in knotted plaits gathered into a bun on the crown of the head.
Rev. AVGV – STA. Venus facing left, resting her left arm on a shield and holding an apple in her right hand.

NGC Ch AU 5/5 3/5 scratches brushed (2183767-002).
The blank is slightly irregular but the strike is centred and crisp, with details clearly visible. Only a few traces of rubbing on the reverse. Beautifully styled with a golden patina. Superb in Proof condition.
