Obv. POSTVMVS – AVG. Armoured and helmeted bust facing right, seen in three-quarter profile.
Rev. QVINQVENNALES AVG. Victory standing on the right, left foot on a rock and inscribing V / Q on a shield.

Only two examples known according to J. Mairat (RIC V.4) in Madrid = der Witte 255 and Schulte Q9Aa = the Paris example stolen (and melted down) in 1831. This therefore appears to be the third known example and the only one in private hands.
NGC XF 5/5 2/5 Fine Style ex-mount edge marks (8769656-001).
A small dent on the edge at 12 o’clock and slight marks on the edge. Well centred with faint traces of circulation and handling. Slight golden patina over the original lustre. Extremely rare! Superb.
