Obverse: LEOPOLD THE FIRST, KING OF THE BELGIANS. Bare head facing left, signed L. WIENER.
Reverse: L. L. PH. M. V. DUKE OF BRABANT M. H. A. DUCHESS OF BRABANT / 21–22 AUGUST 1853. Side-by-side busts facing right, signed LEOP. WIENER.

Burnished proof flan and cameo finish. The edge bears the raised inscription *** DIEU PROTEGE LA BELGIQUE. Only a few fingerprints and minimal hairline marks on the field. Slight golden patina. Superb in mint condition.
