ROMANIA Ferdinand I (1914–1927). 2-lei proof piéfort, 1924, lightning bolt, Poissy. Obverse: *** ROMANIA ***. The crowned coat of arms of Romania supported by two lions; below, the date. Reverse: BUN PENTRU. A crown formed of two ears of corn; in the centre: 2 / LEI / ESSAI / (mint). KM.- (see PnA214) - Sch./St. 134.1.2; copper-aluminium - 12.33 g - 25 mm - 6 h Top Pop: this is the only graded specimen! NGC MS 63 BN (8772190-016). A 3.3 mm thick proof-like trial coin, struck on a copper-aluminium blank. The edge is striated. The fields are tarnished from fingerprints. Superb in Proof condition.
