YUGOSLAVIA Alexander I (1921–1934). 2-dinara trial coin, on a silver blank and struck as a medal, by A. Patey, 1925, Éclair, Poissy. Obverse: АЛЕКСАНДАР I. КРАЉ СРБА, ХРВАТА И СЛОВЕНАЦА. Bare head facing left; below, signature A. PATEY. Reverse: Within a wreath formed of a laurel branch and an oak branch, beneath a crown: 2 ДИНАРA (date) and below (mint) and at the top ESSAI. KM.- (cf. Pn9a, silver, but 50 para); Silver – 9.7 g – 27 mm – 12 h Top Pop: this is the only graded specimen! NGC MS 64 (8772189-007). On a silver blank! A rare variety with ‘ESSAI’ at the top of the reverse and a fluted edge. Medal strike. With a slightly uneven patina. Almost proof.
