Description
YUGOSLAVIA Alexander I (1921–1934). 2-dinara proof, wide flange (without ring), by A. Patey, 1925, Éclair, Poissy. Obverse: АЛЕКСАНДАР I. КРАЉ СРБА, ХРВАТА И СЛОВЕНАЦА. Bare head facing left; below, the signature A. PATEY. Reverse. Within a wreath formed of a laurel branch and an oak branch, beneath a crown: 2 ДИНАРA (date) and below (mint mark). KM.- (see Pn12); Alloy – 12.46 g – 30 mm – 6 h Top Pop: this is the only graded specimen! NGC MS 64 (8772189-008). Struck without a rim, with wide flanges. Without the word ‘ESSAI’, on a quaternary alloy blank (37% copper, 34% silver, 15% nickel and 12% zinc). The fields are barely tarnished by fingerprints. Superb in Proof condition.
