Alexander I (1921–1934). 2-dinara trial piece, by A. Patey, 1925, ‘éclair’, Poissy.
Obverse: АЛЕКСАНДАР I. КРАЉ СРБА, ХРВАТА И СЛОВЕНАЦА. Bare head facing left; below, the signature A. PATEY.
Reverse: Within a wreath formed of a laurel branch and an oak branch, beneath a crown: 2 ДИНАРA (date) and below (mint) and at the top ESSAI.
KM.Pn12a v. (nickel-bronze); Brass – 14.6 g – 27 mm – 6 h

NGC MS 63 (8772189-010).
Trial piece, 3.1 mm thick, struck on a brass blank (70% copper and 30% zinc). Featuring the word ‘ESSAI’ at the top of the reverse and a fluted edge. Mint strike. With a developing patina and traces of the original yellow colour. Almost Proof.
