Bust facing right in uniform, signed S. E. VERNIER 1924. Reverse: ÄGYPTEN-DEUTSCHLAND. Sphinx facing right, in front of the Brandenburg Gate, between the coats of arms of Germany, on an oak branch, and of Egypt, on a lotus branch. Cartouche at the bottom inscribed: STAATSBESUCH SEINER MAJESTÄT FOUAD I. KÖNIGS VON ÄGYPTEN IN DEUTSCHLAND X-XII JUNI MCMXXIX; signed M. BEZNER. Vermeil – 159.5 g – 72 mm – 12 h Top Pop: this is the only graded example! In its original red imitation-leather case, featuring the King’s cipher beneath a crown, gilded in gold.
