Zewditou I (1916–1930), regency of Ras Tafari Makonnen. Heavyweight ‘Esai du werk’ coin bearing the effigy of Tafari Makonnen, Special Strike (SP) EE 1921 (1929), Addis Ababa.
Obverse: Circular legend. Crowned bust facing left.
Reverse: Circular legend. Crowned lion advancing to the left, holding a banner; at the exergue (denomination).

PCGS SP Genuine Cleaned-UNC Detail (51220454).
Special strike (SP) with a smooth edge and heavy weight (this type varies from 4.18 to 8.35 g). The dies used for striking were worn, which explains the appearance of the specimens. Superb.
