Reverse (at 2 o’clock): + TOROSA. Carolingian monogram in the form CRLS.

With the ‘S’ letters lying flat and inverted; the overall lettering is rather degenerate. Well centred. Not previously recorded with this late design bearing the name of Emperor Charles. Pleasant collector’s patina. Superb.
