Philip VI (1328–1350). Royal gold coin, Our Lady (1328).
Obverse: PH’S REX° - FRA°COR’. The King standing beneath a Gothic canopy, crowned, holding the sceptre.
Reverse: + XP’C° VINCIT° XP’C° REGNAT° XP’C° IMPERAT. A quatrefoil cross, with leaves and fleurs-de-lis, within a trefoil quatrefoil flanked by four small crowns.

NGC MS 62 (6642260-035).
Variant with a small depiction of the King. The strike is slightly off-centre on the obverse. Light circulation wear with a golden patina. Superb.
