Charles VI (1380–1422). Gold shield with a crown, 5th issue of the Notre-Dame series (1411–1418), Paris.
Obverse: + KAROLVSx DEIx GRACIAx FRANCORVMx REX. Crowned shield of France.
Reverse: + XPC* VINCIT* XPC* REGNAT* XPC* INPERAT. Fleur-de-lis and leafy cross, with a star within a curvilinear heart-shaped lozenge, all within a quatrefoil flanked by four small crowns.

NGC MS 63 (8769664-015).
On a fairly large blank, with a fine strike. The 18th-century ring marks indicate Paris on both the obverse and reverse. Slight golden patina. Superb.
