Dy.378G; Billon – 1.57 g – 24 mm – 10 h Featuring an initial lily on both the obverse and reverse, with a dot beneath the one on the obverse: likely struck at the Paris mint. The blank is oblong and barely indented. Slight grey patina. Rare. Superb. Regarding this issue, also known in the ‘florette’ variant, Dieudonné notes: “One might think that these ‘florettes’ belong to the mints of Tournai and Saint-Quentin, but the evidence is so conclusive that one must admit there was an issue in Paris with an exceptional variant.
