Henry VI of England (1422–1453). Gold ‘Salut’ coin, 2nd issue, undated (1422), Lis, Saint-Lô.
Obverse (mint mark) HERICVS: DEI: GRA: FRACORV: Z: AGLIE: REX. The Archangel Gabriel standing before the Virgin Mary, to whom he holds out a scroll bearing the word AVE, behind the joined coats of arms of France and England; above, the rays of the sun.
Reverse (mint mark) XPC* VINCIT* XPC* REGNAT* XPC* IMPERAT. A plain Latin cross flanked by a lily and a leopard, beneath which is an uncial H, within a fleur-de-lis-patterned polylobe.
