FRANCE / CAPETIANS - FRANCE / ROYAL Charles VII (1422–1461). Half-white or half-florette, 6th issue ND (1429), C, Chinon. Obv. (fleur-de-lis, with a small ring?) KAROLVS: FRANCORVM: REX (mint mark), punctuation uncertain. Crowned Shield of France. Rev. (fleur-de-lis, small ring below) SIT N - OME * D - NI BE * - IIEDI. Cross intersecting the legend, flanked by a lily at 2 o’clock and a small crown at 3 o’clock. Dy.467E (not found) – Crépin C VII-58 p.503 (1 specimen); Billon – 1.31 g – 22.6 mm – 5 h Extremely rare, with one example cited by G. Crépin, 2026, from the Saulcy collection (information from Mr Dhénin): this specimen completes the legend and confirms this extremely rare issue, attested for Villefranche-de-Rouergue and confirmed by this specimen! Extremely rare, with only one specimen reported in the De Saulcy collection! Specimen with a notched edge. With an antique patina. Very good to very good-plus condition.
