Description
FRANCE / CAPETIANS - FRANCE / ROYAL Charles VII (1422–1461). White with lilies flanked by ND (1429), C, Chinon. Obv. + KA-ROLVSx FRANCORVx R-EX (workshop). Three fleurs-de-lis flanking a crown which cuts across the legend. Reverse: + SIT: NOME: DNI: BENEDICTV: (mint mark). Cross flanked by two small crowns and two fleurs-de-lis. Dy.470; Billon – 3.02 g – 26.5 mm – 6 h Top Pop: this is the only graded specimen! From Künker Auction 121, 12 March 2007, lot 332. PCGS MS62 (56278487). This specimen is close to its mint condition and is covered in a delicate grey patina with iridescent highlights. Superb in mint condition.
