Rev. ME - DIOL - AN - I. D - V - X. Saint Ambrose on horseback, galloping to the right, holding a whip. In the exergue, the crowned shield of France, cutting across the legend.

This reverse die with the breaks ME – DIOL – AN – I. D – V – X appears to be rare! A fine strike, well-centred, with minimal circulation wear and a light patina with a few deposits. Superb.
