FRANCE / CAPETIANS - FRANCE / ROYAL Henry II (1547–1559). Gold Henry, 1st type 1559, B, Rouen. Obverse: HENRICVS. II. D. G. FRAN. REX. Bust of the King facing right, in armour, bareheaded. Reverse: DVM. TOTVM. COMPLEAT. ORBEM (variant) (date). A cross formed of four crowned H’s, flanked by two crescents and two lilies; (mint mark) in the centre. Dy.1023 (François II) - Sb.4976 (1 specimen with this bust) - G.389C (R5) - Fr.368; Gold - 3.63 g - 23.5 mm - 11 h Top Pop: this is the only graded specimen! NGC MS 62 (8772189-023). Featuring this particular effigy from Rouen (same obverse die as the specimen shown on the Rouen website). The patina is golden. Very Good Condition.
