Obverse: + CAROLVS. X. D. G. FRANC. REX (date) (variant). Cross with fleur-de-lis arms, with a cruciform finial in the centre.
Rev. SIT. NOMEN. DOMINI. BENEDICTVM. Crowned coat of arms of France flanked by II - II; below, (mint mark).

With a variant AC mark by the master Amable Chaptard. Extremely rare, with only one specimen recorded in FRANCIÆ IV (Gudmont Treasure) and still listed as R5 in Gadoury 2022! Blanks cut with shears, slightly quadrangular in shape. Very good condition.
