Henry IV (1589–1610). Half-franc 1597, X, Amiens.
Obverse (at 12 o’clock) + HENRICVS. IIII. D. G. FRAN. ET. NAVA. REX. Laureate, draped and armoured bust of the King facing right; (mint mark) below and (variant) in the field.
Reverse: + SIT. NOMEN. DOMINI. BENEDICTVM (variant) (date). Fleur-de-lis cross with a flowered centre, featuring an ‘H’ within a heart.

Although barely visible, the date does indeed appear to be 1597. The reverse is off-centre, but the obverse is well struck, featuring a very fine bust of the King. Attractive collector’s patina. Superb / Very Fine.
