Description
FRANCE / CAPETIANS - FRANCE / ROYAL Louis XIII (1610–1643). Half-escutcheon, 2nd type 1642, A, Paris (pink). Obv. LVDOVICVS. XIII. D. G. FR. ET. NAV. REX. Bust of the King facing right, laureate and draped. Rev. (variant) SIT. NOMEN. DOMINI. BENEDICTVM. (date). Crowned coat of arms of France; below (mint mark). Dy.1346 - G.49; Silver - 13.65 g - 33 mm - 6 h Top Pop: this is the finest graded specimen! PCGS MS64 (49960423). Only minimal marks to the left of the shield on the reverse. With a lovely freshness, this specimen has seen very little circulation. A grey patina, with iridescent highlights and a few dark deposits, covers both sides. Superb in mint condition.
