A cross formed of eight L’s joined back-to-back, each arm crowned, with (mint mark) within a heart-shaped circle, flanked by four lilies radiating from the centre. Dy.1428 – G.247 – Fr.423; Gold – 6.72 g – 23 mm – 6 o’clock With a small ring at the tip of the neck, in addition to the two ‘?’ marks. Vigorous striking has caused the blank to split at 12 o’clock.
