Obv. LVD. XIIII. D. G (variant) - FR. ET. NAV. REX. Bust of the King facing right, with long hair, wearing a laurel wreath, draped and clad in ancient-style armour; below (variant).
Rev. (variant) SIT. NOMEN. DOMINI. - BENEDICTVM. (date). Crowned Shield of France, below (mint mark).

Top Pop: this is the only graded specimen! This specimen is illustrated in Gadoury, *Monnaies royales françaises*, 2018, p.124 as originating from a Monnaies d’Antan 7 auction, 21 May 2010, lot no. 635.
PCGS XF40 (56290911).
Despite having been sold in 2010 and being illustrated in Gadoury in 2018, this specimen was not noted (?) by Clairand, 2023, who cites a mintage of 771 specimens. Shows regular wear and is slightly scuffed on the fields. A small notch at 5 o’clock on the rim on the reverse. Undoubtedly the only known example of this year’s issue. TTB.
