Aged head of the King facing right, wearing a laurel-wreathed wig. Rev. (mint mark) SIT NOMEN DOMINI (variant) BENEDICTVM (date). Crowned Shield of France. Dy.1434 - G.259 - Fr.428; Gold - 29 mm - 6 h NGC AU 55 (2183761-014). Beautifully struck, centred, with regular mill marks. Minimal black rolling marks. Slight circulation wear and a lovely golden patina. Superb.
