FRANCE / CAPETIANS - FRANCE / ROYAL Louis XV (1715–1774). Louis d’or with headband, 1741/0, T, Nantes. Obv. LVD. XV. D. G. FR. – ET. NAV. REX. Head of the King facing left, wearing a headband, with an inscription below (variant). Rev. CHRS. REGN. VINC. IMPER (variant) (date). Slanted oval coats of arms of France and Navarre, beneath a crown; below (mint mark). Dy.1643 – G.341 – Fr.464; Gold – 8.16 g – 24 mm – 6 h Top Pop: this is the finest graded specimen! NGC MS 61 (8769662-030). Slight wear on the high reliefs and only minimal scratches on the fields. Retains its original, faintly golden lustre on the fields. Superb in uncirculated condition.
