Head of the King facing left, wearing a headband, with a mark below (variant). Rev. CHRS. REGN. VINC. IMPER (variant) (date). Slanted oval escutcheons of France and Navarre, beneath a crown; below (mint mark). Dy.1644 - G.330 - Fr.465; Gold - 4.08 g - 20 mm - 6 h NGC UNC DETAILS OBV SCRATCHED (8772189-039). A beautifully centred strike, with the full rebranding and fine relief. Only minimal signs of handling, with a lovely golden patina; the fields are barely rubbed with hairline scratches. Superb in Proof condition.
