Obverse: LUD. XV. D. G. FR. ET NAV. REX. Head of the King facing left, wearing a headband. Signature JCR on the nape of the neck; below (variant).
Reverse: SIT. NOMEN. DOMINI. - BENEDICTUM (variant) (date). Oval, crowned Shield of France, between two olive branches; below (mint mark).

NGC AU DETAILS CLEANED (8772189-040).
Well-centred strike. Slight wear on the high points of the relief. The patina is grey with iridescent highlights, particularly on the reverse. Superb / Superb to Proof condition.
