Reverse: COMMERCIJ GERMANA COMES. View of the port of Bayonne, with several merchant ships, surmounted by an allegory of the city of Bayonne in the clouds; signed D. V.; in the exergue: V. VIRI. BAYONENSES / COMMER. REG: / ANNO. 1726.

A specimen of this gilt bronze medal was formerly in the Henry Nocq collection. Scratched with a needle around the bust and lightly cleaned on the reverse. Superb.
