Louis XVI (1774–1792). Shield of Béarn with olive branches, 1788, cow, Pau.
Obverse: LUD. XVI. D. G. FR. ET NA. RE. Obverse: Bust of the King facing left, wearing an embroidered jacket and the Order of the Holy Spirit, his hair tied at the nape of the neck with a ribbon. Signature ‘B. DUVIV. F.’ on the edge of the bust; below (variant).
Reverse: SIT. NOMEN. DOMINI. BENEDICTUM (variant) (date). Oval, crowned Shield of France, between two olive branches, (mint mark) below.
