FRANCE / CAPETIANS - FRANCE / ROYAL Constitution (1791–1792). 15 sols FRANÇOIS 1791, 2nd half-year – Year 3, A, Paris (leopard and lyre). Obverse: LOUIS XVI KING OF THE FRENCH. Head of the King facing left, hair tied with a ribbon at the nape of the neck. Below (variant) (date). Reverse: REIGN OF THE LAW. The Genius of France engraving the word CONSTITUTION (in two lines) on a tablet of the law resting on an altar, flanked by 15 and (variant) on the left, and SOLS and (mint mark) on the right. In the exergue: THE YEAR (date) OF FREEDOM in two lines. G.36 - Dy.1721; Silver - 23 mm - 6 h This is the second-highest grade (3)! NGC MS 65 (6906700-015). Close to mint condition, with the fields barely tarnished by fingerprints. A few fine finishing marks on the edges. Almost mint.
