Obverse: LOUIS XVI KING OF THE FRENCH. Draped bust of the King facing left, bareheaded, hair tied with a ribbon at the nape of the neck; signature DUVIVIER. Below: (mint mark).
Reverse: THE NATION, THE LAW, THE KING. A fasces surmounted by a Phrygian cap and flanked by 12 - D, between two oak branches. In the exergue: (varying) (date). (year). OF LIBERTY.
