Obverse: LOUIS XVI, KING OF THE FRENCH. Bust of the King facing left, with drapery adorned with fleurs-de-lis around his neck; signed BERNIER.
Reverse: THE NATION – THE LAW – THE KING. France, crowned with a laurel wreath, seated facing forwards, holding a quill in her right hand and a scroll inscribed ‘CONST.’ in her left; surrounded by a fasces, a shield of France, books and a cockerel; in the exergue: (date)· 30 S.
