Constitution (1791–1792). 6 blancs or 2 sols 6 deniers, ‘caisse de bonne foy’, by Montagny 1791 – Year 3, Paris.
Obverse: PAYABLE IN EXCHANGE FOR ASSIGNATS / THE 3rd YEAR OF LIBERTY. Bust of Minerva wearing a crested helmet, adorned with a cockerel, and armour, facing left; signature MONTAG[NY] on the shoulder.
Reverse: CAISSE DE BONNE FOY ESTABLISHED IN PARIS / 1791. In the field, two hands holding two pikes surmounted by a cap of liberty adorned with a cockerel, flanked by 2 S – 6 D and by B. P. SIX – BLANCS; below, a banner inscribed DROITS DE L’HOMME ART. V.
