Convention (1792–1795). Trial coinage of the 3-livre demi-écu and the sheaf, by Dupré, 1793 – Year II, Paris.
Obverse: REIGN OF THE LAW. The Genius of France engraving the word CONSTITUTION (in two lines) on a tablet of the law resting on an altar, flanked by a fasce on the left and a cockerel on the right. Signature DUPRÉ engraved on the base of the altar. In the exergue: (date).
Reverse: REPUBLIQUE – FRANÇOISE. A fasce surmounted by a cap of liberty and resting on two oak branches arranged in a wreath. In the exergue: L’AN (date).
