Convention (1792–1795). 2 sols, undated, Year II (1794), R, Orléans.
Obverse: REPUBLIQUE FRANÇOISE / L’AN (date). Inscription: ‘MEN ARE EQUAL BEFORE THE LAW’ and the signature ‘Dupré’, beneath a radiant eye and between a bunch of grapes and ears of corn.
Reverse: ‘LIBERTY – EQUALITY’. The beam of a balance surmounted by a cap of liberty, on which is a crown with, in the centre: 2. S.; below, (mint) and (various).

The blank is slightly porous and corroded. This example has seen very little circulation. Slight patina. Almost Superb.
