Convention (1792–1795). Trial coin of 2 sols by Dupré, Special Strike (SP) 1793, Paris.
Obverse: REGNE DE LA LOI. The Genius engraving the word CONSTITUTION between a Phrygian cap and a triangle, with two stars below; signature DUPRE on the base of the altar.
Reverse: *. REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE .*. Within an oak wreath: PIÈCE / D’ESSAI; in the exergue: (date).

Special Strike (SP). On a thick blank, with a minor metal defect. Re-struck according to PCGS. Minimal wear and a light brown patina. Superb.
