Convention (1792–1795). 5-centime trial coin featuring the ‘Altar of Liberty’ design, by Dupré, Special Strike (SP), Year 3 (1794–95), Paris.
Obverse: The Altar of Equality adorned with a spirit level and framed by the letters R. – F, surmounted by eight stars arranged in groups of three and five at the top, with a small angel’s head below, set within a wreath of wheat.
Reverse: Inscriptions in three lines: 5 / CENTIMes / L’AN (date); a star below.
