Convention (1792–1795). Five sols from Monneron featuring Hercules, 1792 – Year IV, Birmingham.
Obverse: ‘THE UNITED FRENCH ARE INVINCIBLE’. Hercules seated on the right, on a shore, breaking a bundle of sticks; in the exergue: ‘THE YEAR (date) OF LIBERTY’.
Reverse: REVOLUTION FRANÇAISE/ (date). In the centre, in six lines: MEDAILLE / QUI SE VEND / CINQ-SOLS / A PARIS CHEZ / MONNERON / (PATENTÉ).
