Obverse: UNION AND STRENGTH. Hercules standing facing forward with the lion’s skin, uniting Liberty, standing on the left holding a pike surmounted by a cap of liberty, and Equality, standing on the right, holding a spirit level. Around the edge, the various motifs. In the exergue, the cursive signature ‘Dupré’.
Reverse: RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE *. Within a wreath formed of an oak branch and an olive branch: 5 FRANCS. L’AN (date).; below (mint mark).
