Description
FRANCE - FRANCE Directoire (1795–1799). Five centimes Dupré, small module, Year 4 (1795), A, Paris. Obverse: REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE. Bust of the Republic facing left, wearing a cap of liberty; below, Dupré’s cursive signature. Reverse. In the field: 5 CENTIMES (variant) – L’AN (date) (mint). G.124 – F.113; Copper – 5.24 g – 23 mm – 6 h PCGS MS62BN (58336897). The original red colour remains visible around the raised areas, but a developing patina covers most of the field. Superb in mint condition.
