FRANCE - FRANCE First Empire / Napoleon I (1804–1814). 10-centime trial coin featuring an eagle, bimetallic, Special Strike (SP) 1806, Paris. Obverse: NAPOLEON EMPEREUR (bee). Centre: Eagle with outstretched wings on a thunderbolt. Reverse: REPUB. FRANC. / Tr. (date). (star). Centre: 10 / CENT. G.188a – Maz.593 – VG.1503 – Théret/Taillard 1004.a.3; Bimetallic – 1.96 g – 18 mm – 6 h PCGS SP58 (58336798). Special strike (SP). Variant featuring a small recessed ring in the centre of the reverse. A fine scratch on the reverse and slight wear to the eagle on the obverse. Superb.
