Laureate bust of Louis XVIII facing left; below, signature E. GATTEAUX and in the exergue (date). Rev. PIECE DE 5 FRANCS (rosette). Crowned coat of arms of France, between two laurel branches; below, .(different) and (mint mark). G.603e - Maz.732a v. (Smooth edge) - VG.- (cf. 2447, Ag) - Théret/Taillard 2024.b.2; Copper - 37 mm - 6 h Top Pop: this is the only graded specimen! From the Eric P. Newman collection. NGC MS 64 BN (2039219-033). With the edge inscribed in intaglio: (lily) DOMINE SALVUM FAC REGEM. With a dark brown patina. Superb, mint condition.
