FRANCE - FRANCE Louis XVIII (1814–1824). 5-franc trial coin, 1815 competition, 2nd type, by Tiolier 1815, A, Paris. Obverse: * LOUIS * XVIII * – KING * OF * FRANCE *. Crowned bust, in coronation robes, facing left; below, signature N. TIOLIER. Reverse: PIECE DE CINQ FRANCS*. Within a wreath formed of two laurel branches, the crowned coat of arms of France, surmounted by (various) (date) (mint). G.612b - Maz.745a - VG.- (cf. 2462) - Théret/Taillard 2030.b.COP; Pewter – 26.12 g – 37 mm – 6 h Cast on a pewter blank, with a smooth edge. With a grey patina. Superb.
