FRANCE - FRANCE Louis XVIII (1814–1824). 10 centimes, Antwerp mint mark, JEAN LOUIS GAGNEPAIN, medal-style strike with fluted edge, 1814, Antwerp (Arsenal workshop). Obverse: ANVERS. Monogram of Louis XVIII within a crown formed of two branches. Ribbon inscribed JEAN LOUIS GAGNEPAIN. Below, (date). Reverse: MONNAIE OBSIDIONALE. In the centre: 10 / CENT. G.194a – Colaert 25c; Bronze – 25.63 g – 35 mm – 12 h Top Pop (2): this is the finest graded example! PCGS MS63BN (58337023). Featuring the numerals 1 and 0 spaced apart, in medal strike, with a fluted edge and a bronze or copper blank. A fine strike with a very clear signature. Retains its original red colour around the raised areas, with the fields covered in a brown patina. Superb in mint condition.
